About LAMU

Lusaka Apex Medical University (LAMU) was incorporated in June 2008 by 8 indigenous Zambian professionals. The main objective of this initiative was to complement Government’s efforts to train high quality human resource in the medical field.

The establishment of Lusaka Apex Medical University has therefore full support of the National Authorities under the Public-Private Partnership arrangement. It pushes the bar upwards by focusing on relevant training in line with developments of technologies and techniques in the medical and health field globally. It brings in efficiencies associated with the private sector.

Prevent Cholera

Cholera is common in areas with inadequate sanitation, unsafe drinking water and poor hygiene practices. We can get cholera by eating contaminated food and drinking contaminated water. If you experience watery diarrhoea, vomiting, thirst, leg cramps , restlessness or irritability do not delay! go to the nearest health facility!
